Want to contribute to a great cause and/or attend one of the best social events of the year???
You have found the right one!!!
The American Lung Association is an organization devoted to lung health and to helping people with all kinds of lung diseases... You can't find a more caring, sincere and kind hearted group of people than, Katrina Taylor (ALA State Director), Rebecca Downs (ALA Development/Program Manager), and Lori DeNicola (ALA Development?/Program Coordinator)!
These 3 women and all the people who support this wonderful organization help make huge differences everyday!
The annual Charleston Oxygen Ball, "Lowcountry Dancing With The Stars", is a wonderful way to support the ALA and make everything these women and all the ALA supporters do count in a magnificent way!
Check out the website for all the information about the Ball and about the auctions, dancing, sponsors and how you can help!

Making a difference...

So here is my deal... This year to me, is very much about making a difference! In a lot of ways!
I've been working out, counting calories and trying my best to be a better person than I have been! In so so many ways!
I'm giving people second chances, I'm making changes in my life and in others lives...
I have my charity, I have my son, my love, my life and working on my health!
I'm making a pledge to any and every person who wants to make it with me... I will do EVERYTHING in my power to help you make the changes in your life that you want to make!
You let me know what they are and how I can help and it's done!!!

Live your life, don't just live it, LIVE it!!!

Life is funny...

Life brings you things, then takes them away... Sometime, it gives them back and sometimes, it doesn't... Friends come and go and sometimes, it is what it is... I find it amazing that sometimes you meet someone thinking they are meant for one reason and you later find out, they are there for another... If you are lucky enough to figure it out, it is an amazing feeling!!!

New Home
New Life
New Love

New Hope
And So many possibilities, I can't list them all!
For that I thank EVERYONE in my life!!!

A special thank you has to be said to specific people:
Jarrod:
You have taught me to love again, to care about myself again, to care about others again and to open my heart like I've never been hurt! I will never forgive you for that! LOL I am lucky to have you in my life and can't imagine a day without you! You know my past and you know how I have been hurt and what I have been through. You know my heart will never be perfectly whole again but you are mending parts of it that I can't believe are mend-able! I have become who I am because of you!
Laurie, Mark, Alex, Brad, Memere, Pepere & the rest of Jarrod's family:
You have all welcomed me into your homes, your hearts and your lives. I have never known a families love like I do now thanks to all of you! I can only hope and wish that I can somehow, someway show you how much you all mean to me and how fortunate I feel to have you all in my life. You have taken someone who didn't know what a families love could feel like, an unconditional love, and showed her that it is the most amazing thing in the world!
Loy & Judy:
I don't even know where to begin! You have helped me begin a new life doing what I love! You have touched my heart with your strength and your will to be the wonderful people you are, no matter the odds or the obstacles! You have shown me that no matter what a person is faced with, they CAN make a difference! They CAN be amazing and they CAN affect everyone who is lucky enough to know them! I thank the Gods that I have gotten a chance to share part of your lives! I may have never known how strong the human spirit is if I had never met you two! For that reason, I vow to never give up! I will never stop trying, I will never let life beat me down and I will NEVER forget how much you two mean to me and everyone who knows you! I promise to live a life that will make you both proud to know you influenced!
To those I have lost and those who have lost:
Life DOES go on. No matter how much it hurts to know that person is gone, feel blessed that you had them for the time you did! Some people come in to your life to make a difference, even if only for a short time! I will never forget those I have lost and I know everyone who has lost someone will never forget them either!

To EVERYONE:
DO NOT TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED! Live life to the fullest! Love everyone you can! Laugh as often as you can! And, never forget you matter! To someone, somewhere, you matter!!!

Amy J. Rodgers (Kitty)

Side note: If you were tagged but you don't see your name, please do not get offended! You matter or I wouldn't have tagged you in this! But my fingers are cramping and I can't type much more! LOL

Sorry...

I haven't been on here in awhile... Not many followers so I don't really care but... For those that click thru blogs, here's an update:

I am fed up with people bitching about our president! Stop for 10 minutes and read about how politics work! People say he hasn't kept his promises, he hasn't done the things he said he would, etc. It's not for lack of trying! Congress has him in a corner. They won't let him do the things he wants to do. When a new President is elected, everyone is excited and a few months later they start pointing fingers and placing blame. How about you point your fingers where they belong? At congress! I'm not Rep. or Dem. but with a republican cabinet they have a tendency to stop everything a democratic President tries to do. And with more republicans coming into office next year, it will continue to happen!
Another thing that annoys me... People who complain about who is in the offices and when asked if they voted, they say no! WTH? If you didn't vote, then you have NO RIGHT to complain about anything those people in office do! NO RIGHT to complain about who is in office! You want to bitch about it? VOTE!!!

I'll step down from my Kat 'Soap' Box now...

Ok, AMA's

Seriously? The BS that is known as The American Music Awards, is so just uggggghhhh! I have no idea what to say really... It's not really a politics type issue, it's a 'our country is run by its's teens' type issue... I mean giving the artist of THE YEAR award to Justin Bieber? Come on! And why even have anyone running against half of the artist's... The same people win over and over... The only interesting part of the whole night was Pink's cute pregnant belly and the NKOTBSB performance... The rest of the crap was just that, crap!!! How about someone over the age of 15 voting??? Come on America!!!
